My phone number is already linked to a profile
Trying to add your phone number to your profile but getting a message saying it's already in use?
No worries! Here are two solutions 👇
✅ 1. Manually delete the profile linked to your number
If you still have access to the number, you can delete the associated profile by following these steps:
- Log out of your current account (if you're stuck, simply delete and reinstall the app)
- Open Fruitz and select Log in via SMS
- Sign in using the phone number
- Once logged in, go to your profile settings and tap “Delete my account”
You’ll then be able to add that number to your profile.
📧 2. You’ve recently received this number (and it’s linked to a previous user)
If you've only had this number for a short time, it may still be linked to an old Fruitz account.
In that case, please contact our Privacy team at: privacy@fruitz.io
Include the following in your email:
- The Tracking ID of your current profile
- The phone number (with country code)
- The date you became the owner of this number
And attach:
- A proof of ownership of the phone number (e.g. a bill or contract from your operator)
- Your full name
- A document that proves your identity
