How to Record a Video of My Screen (Android)?
Would you like to record your screen to report a bug or show us what’s happening in the app on your Android device?
Good news: most recent Android phones have a built-in screen recording feature that’s quick and easy to use. Here’s how to do it:
✅ Enable Screen Recording
On most Android smartphones (Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, etc.):
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the quick settings panel.
- Look for the “Screen recorder” icon.
- If you don’t see it, tap the edit icon (pencil) to add it to your quick settings.
Start Recording Your Screen
Once the icon is available:
- Tap “Screen recorder”.
- Choose your settings (record audio or not, show touches, etc.).
- Tap Start. A short countdown will appear, and the recording will begin.
⏹️ Stop the Recording
- Tap the Stop button in the notification bar.
- The video will be automatically saved to your Gallery or Files app, depending on your device.
📂 Where to Find Your Video
- Open your Gallery, Google Photos, or Files app.
- The video will be in the “Screen recordings” folder.
- From there, you can view, edit, or share it with us.
