# What is a Freez?

A **Freez** is the ice cream icon at the bottom of your Fruitz home screen.

It’s a **temporary photo** you take directly in the app that helps you **boost your profile** and get noticed.

Once active, your Freez is visible for **48 hours** to:
- **your Smoothies**,
- **people nearby.**..
...**but only if they’ve also posted a Freez**.

⚠️ You can only view other people’s Freez posts **if you have one active yourself**.
